Tom Sharp

Chief Executive Officer

Tom brings over 25 years of experience growing high-tech companies into market leaders by combining innovative technologies and inventive go-to-market strategies. Prior to founding NLign Analytics, Tom was Principal at Etegent Technologies, a leading provider of technical solutions in the Aerospace and Defense markets.


Previously, he was a visiting scientist at AFRL Material Directorate where he developed innovative technology to optimize manufacturing processes. He was also a senior member of the design team that developed multiple innovations in the early 1980s to computer terminals; some of which have been displayed at the Smithsonian Institution. He has 12 issued patents and multiple pending in a range of fields, including signal processing, data visualization, and human-machine interaction. Tom holds a BSEE, MSEE, Ph.D. from University of Cincinnati.


In his spare time, he enjoys coaching a Destination Imagination team, playing and coaching soccer, mountain biking, and traveling the world.

Brian Bahr

VP Operations

Brian Bahr is an experienced professional in the field of computer technology and software, with a career spanning over 30 years. Throughout his journey, he has worked with various companies, from small software startups to global industry giants, across multiple sectors, including banking, energy, telecom, government, and aerospace. His extensive experience brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as the Director of Operations at NLign Analytics.

 

Brian’s career with NLign Analytics began as a senior software developer, showcasing his technical prowess and dedication to the field. Over time, he has risen through the ranks and now spearheads all operational aspects of NLign Analytics. As the Director of Operations, Brian is pivotal in driving the company’s growth, overseeing strategic initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence.

 

Outside of work, Brian is a devoted father to a future nurse and a talented college baseball player. As an enthusiastic baseball fan, Brian and his family have embarked on many cross-country trips to support his son’s amateur baseball endeavors. He also shares a deep passion for the sport, making it a point not to miss any Cincinnati Reds game whenever possible. Brian’s commitment to making a positive impact extends to his community involvement. In 2012, he established the Etegent Community Outreach Committee, where he works with underserved youth. By leveraging his expertise and resources, Brian aims to empower and uplift the younger generation, giving them access to opportunities and guidance.

 

With his vast industry knowledge, dedication to family, love for baseball, and community-driven mindset, Brian Bahr exemplifies a well-rounded and accomplished professional. His multifaceted experiences and leadership qualities make him an invaluable asset to NLign Analytics and a source of inspiration to those around him.

Steven Hess

Director of Enterprise Sales

With over 17 years of expertise in the aerospace industry, Steven brings real-world application experience to Nlign as the Director of Enterprise Sales. From business & operations to boots on the ground experience as a crew chief in the United States Air Force his dedication to customer success and a solid understanding of what our customers need is an invaluable resource. Steven is an instrument-rated private pilot in his spare time with a passion for the aerospace industry.

Steven came to us from AeroTEC – a flight test and engineering firm. During his time at AeroTEC, managing business development, he worked with everything from new start-up technologies and clean-sheet aircraft programs to re-engineering and structural analysis of legacy platforms, such as the 747. On the materials side of the industry, he has previously worked in the business managing the 787 programs with Toray carbon fiber, multiple MRO’s and the marketing team at Dassault Falcon Jet.


Steven is based in Seattle, WA. You can find him flying in his spare time or enjoying the back-country mountains in the winter. In between his outdoor hobbies he mentors youth in the Burton Chill program.

Larry Faist

Chief Financial Officer

Larry Faist is a seasoned executive with a diverse engineering and industrial management background. He holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering Management.

 

Larry’s career began at Honeywell, where he worked as a manufacturing project engineer. He then moved on to Rockwell Automation, where he worked in various engineering and location leadership roles, including leadership of locations in Asia and Europe

 

In 2013, Larry joined Sur-Seal, a manufacturer of gaskets and seals for various industries based in Cincinnati. He quickly rose through the ranks, starting as COO and becoming CEO in 2018. Under his leadership, Sur-Seal experienced significant growth and expansion, including acquiring several key competitors.

 

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Larry is an avid traveler and enjoys exploring new places with his family worldwide. He is also passionate about home renovation and spends his spare time fixing up older homes. Larry is also an active runner and biker, completing several half marathons and many marathons.

 

Larry is a self-described tech geek and aviation buff with a single-engine pilot license. He is committed to staying current on the latest technological advancements and always looking for new ways to leverage technology to improve business operations.

Dan Meyer

An executive with a strong track record for leading teams and scaling business in early and high growth stage technology-based companies. He is a proven general manager whose specialties include go-to-market strategy, capital formation, product innovation, and channel development, all critical ingredients to transform businesses into market leaders. Dan has a deep passion for and understanding of new product development. He has planned and launched numerous innovative products which have disrupted markets, achieved high revenue growth, and attained industry recognition.

Dan is Chief Operating Officer of Campfire Interactive, Inc., a software company that provides future profitability management solutions to manufacturing companies and is the leading vendor in the automotive supplier sector. He also serves in Board member and Advisory positions to high growth and technology businesses, roles for which he has earned awards and distinction for exceptional leadership and guidance.


Dan has spent many years in the Product Lifecycle Management market (software and services for engineering and innovation) with vendors including Comet Solutions (acquired by Aras), Ilesfay Technology (acquired by Autodesk), think3 (acquired by DPT and Versata), SDRC (now Siemens Digital Industries) and Synopsys.


Dan earned an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and an AB from Princeton University.

Scott Miller

Mr. Scott D. Miller was the Founder and CEO of Treadstone Group, an ERP software and service provider. Treadstone was sold to publicly traded, Exact Software in 2006.

Mr. Miller is a member of Queen City Angels (QCA), an early stage capital group. He is member of the Board of Directors of Navistone, a QCA funded company.  Navistone is a builder of direct mail audiences, using proprietary, intent to buy technology.


Mr. Miller is a Director of Paycor, a Human Capital Management (HCM) SaaS company.  Mr. Miller sits on the Audit and Compensation committees. He also chairs board oversight for Information Security, working closely with Paycor’s Director of Information Security, and General Counsel.


Mr. Miller is a Director of Intellicasting, a SaaS based technology company serving the delivery-based restaurant industry.


Mr. Miller serves on the advisory board of NLign Analytics, a SaaS based technology company, that develops applications for finding, tracking, and analyzing defects in repair, maintenance, and manufacturing operations for the aviation and defense industries.


Mr. Miller serves on the advisory board of BGR, a 100m supplier of supply chain materials and technology.


Mr. Miller is Executive Chairman of BookWerks, a technology driven company providing cloud-based bookkeeping services and analytics to the SMB space.


Mr. Miller received a B.S. in Accountancy from Miami University.  He has taught the senior level capstone class in Entrepreneurship at Miami:  New Business Creation. Mr. Miller resides in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dave Brandel

Dave is currently the president of engineering solutions at Belcan. He is an innovative executive business leader and technologist with solid business acumen across multiple products and service offerings. He has proven program, project, and product management results in various disciplines, including Systems Engineering, Controls, Software, Analytics, Diagnostics, Engines, Composites, and Structures.


Through the organizational growth of diverse global teams, Dave enabled the concurrent execution of multimillion-dollar large-scale new product developments. Additionally, he has fostered cross-functional engagement across complex organizations to improve business operations and processes. Dave has garnered experience in client & customer management, joint venture opportunities, and start-up leadership expertise during his career, resulting in solid relationship building, successful business outcomes, and high-level executive engagement at CEO, Senior VP, VP, and Director-level through shop floor operators.

Stephen Bashada

Stephen retired from Siemens in April 2020 as the CEO of the Siemens global IIoT business. This business was a startup within Siemens and delivered $12m, $30, and $45m, respectively. This new cross-organizational unit highlighted new sales teams and partner programs. Historically, Stephen was selected to deliver on sizeable visible company commitments like Mindsphere, representing a critical global platform for Siemens. At Unigraphics Solutions, he planned, developed, and ran the Teamcenter business. This business began as a series of disjointed products launched as a PLM platform that became a multi-billion dollar business. On the M&A front, at Sterling Software, he accepted the role of Division President and restructured the organizational unit to 24% profit.


Over the past 40 years, Stephen’s work was grounded in a solid technical framework, including hands-on software troubleshooting to creating business outcomes from technology selections and business models. As a leader, he had extensive customer experience and supported hundreds of key clients deploying many variations of on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. As an individual contributor, Stephen earned a variety of Sales awards, sales clubs, and technical awards in the Aerospace and Defense, Automotive, and High Tech Electronics areas. Stephen graduated from Georgia State University in 1992.


Finally, Stephen received the most prestigious award given at Siemens for the Teamcenter business. He was one of the only 35+ individuals selected for the Siemens Top Innovator award, presented in Munich in an unmatched celebration. As with many initiatives, this endeavor with customers, partners, and relationships laid the groundwork for a sensational career.
